CILIP North West Coffee Morning: AI in Libraries

Pour a cup of your favourite hot beverage and join us online!

Meet with other library and information professionals from the north west in a relaxed setting, and join in conversations about important issues facing the wider profession.

This month’s coffee morning will focus on AI. In 2026, it feels like you can’t go a single day without hearing something about AI, but does anyone really know what’s going on? How is your organisation responding to it?

Bring your questions, your frustrations, your best practices and your experiences (good or bad) – we want to hear all about it!

The discussion will be led by Rowan Smith, East Cheshire NHS Trust (NW Co-Chair) and Caitlyn Hallman, University of Chester (NW Vice Chair).

Don’t have a full hour to spare? Don’t worry. Drop in and out of the meeting at any time.

Don’t feel like having your camera on or talking? Lurkers are welcome, but hopefully you will feel comfortable enough to join in the chat.
